Wax On, Wax Off

Our time in Yuma is quickly dwindling to an end.  Soon we will begin the annual northward migration, but before that we still have some things to do!  One of our annual tasks is to perform a good wash and wax while in Yuma.  Lots of places won't let you wash your tow vehicle let alone your trailer, but the rental lots in Yuma most always allow truck and trailer washing.  We began the washing only after we had completed our test pull with Romeo the Ram.  We took a 40 mile round trip to Wellton, AZ which took us up and over the Gila Mountains via Telegraph Pass, once going and once again on the return leg of the trip.  We are very pleased to report that Romeo pulled like a dream on the flat and going up the pass, and the exhaust brake did everything that we had hoped it would on the downhill grade.  We couldn't be happier with the set up.  So what do we do with our spare time you ask?  Why have a Yard Sale of course!

Wash Day!  We finished so quickly we didn't get the first picture until we were on the last detail in the back, the tool chest.  Gari cleans it up.

Our good friend Alan, VERY good friend, came over to lend a hand on the wax job with his magic buffers, "Wax On" and "Wax Off"!  Gari shines the very top of the front cap from the roof, while Alan takes to the ladder to cover the entire front of the cap.  Look at that shine would ya?!

 ...and right back up the ladder he goes.  Alan is a machine!  He saved us every bit of three days of hand waxing!

It turned out to be a big success.  People came all day from 7 AM to 4 PM.  Gari straightens up the merchandise below.
