Washington State Fair

We are enjoying Yakima and being good, and as a result we got to visit the Washington State Fair in Yakima.  We had a fine day, avoided excessive parking fees by walking a block (which was closer than the back of the pay parking lot where we would have parked had we "followed the rules"), saw some innnovative new products and got some freebies in the vendor buildings, watched all the happy people stroll the midway and ride the rides, examined many interesting animal, vegatable and mineral ehxibits
and topped the visit off with a hand dipped ice cream nut bar :-)

Clanging on the Dingaling with crab mallets...

Strolling the Midway...

BBQ Sandwich for the lady in the Lepoard Dress...
We saw the Fried P&J Lady on the local news; the PB&J sandwich is dipped in batter, deep fried, more jelly squirted on top then sprinkled with powdered sugar.  It looked delishous on TV!  Anyway, whatever you want fried, get it here...

Riding the rides...I love the catepillar and the whimsical lights!
 Going, Going...
 Gone in 8 Seconds!

A quick Space Walk and a Native American Parade...

Showing the Bulls

An Australian Horsemanship Demonstration, this guy was good and his horses better!  The Grey was high stepping here.

Doing Homework...
Asked why she was laying down and told she was hot...
 Bebe :-)
Mom & Daughter, Connie and Julie :-)
Spur Daddy and the Texas Longhorn...
 Jerry and the African Watusi...
Spur, Billy and Jerry...

A fine finish to the day, hand dipped ice cream nut bars... hey Jerry those chicks behind are photobombing us!  Maybe they want our ice cream...
