Sun City, Arizona
Sun City has become our November and December destination of choice. The weather that time of year is just about perfect in Sun City. We have also set up all our medical and dental providers in the Sun City (Phoenix) area. We found a great RV Resort called Paradise RV Resort. We joke about living in Paradise... literally. The resort has Lawn Bowling, Tennis courts, Pickleball courts, a great swimming pool and a couple nice hot tubs. They bring in singing acts, usually tribute concerts. It's all really well done. We haven't participated in much of the amenities; we spend most of our time visiting with Gari's mom Shilo and having a great time at her nice home a few short miles from the resort. Other than that we were running around doing our medical and other logistics items we accomplish in the Phoenix area each year.The gate at Paradise and the Security Staff gave us a great sense of safety while we were there.
We found a Ford dealer we like very much in nearby Buckeye, AZ, Jones Ford. They always do excellent maintenance work on Pepé our F-450. They provide service to a lot of farms in that area so they are very familiar with diesel engines and have the equipment and facilities to handle the larger trucks. We had them change our transmission oil this year ahead of the mantenance schedule required; same on the cooling system antifreeze. Of course engine oil and filters were part of our service this time as well. We should be good to go for our eastward ride as soon as the weather begins to warm.
