Introduction

We are starting this blog as a part of our dream; I will talk about the bigger dream later.  Our blog will serve a few important purposes for us.  First and foremost it will assist us in staying close and in touch with our family and friends.  Nothing could be more important in this life.  Secondly, we want to use the blog as a record of our comings and goings to save the information of places we have visited, especially those places that we want to repeat visit.

I also expect that we will learn a great deal along the way, and we will write about those things as well, both to share and to help us remember what we have already learned.  In fact, starting a blog is part of our learning journey.  We have never done a blog before, although we have read and enjoyed other people's blogs very much.  We don't expect ours to be as sophistocated as many, but we do hope that it will serve our simple purposes.

As we prepare to bring our bigger dream into fruition, we observe our starting point of the places in the United States that we have visited together as of the writing of this introduction.
