Chasing the Weather

We will choose above freezing temperatures every time.  It is raining in Waldo today, and looks like that will be the pattern all day, but it is 60 degrees and that is not so bad.

News flash.... big events today!  Cash pot BINGO 2:00 PM, Pot Luck "Dixieland's Chicken Perlo" Dinner 5:00 PM, followed up with a documentary movie, "High Lonesome" about the history and evolution of Bluegrass music and it's pioneers.Free popcorn and tea at the movie!  This is RV living!

Tomorrow is the catch and release fishing tournament and open microphone for singing.  We might fish, but trust me we won't be singing, at least not on an open mike, maybe in the shower!

Friday the big name Bluegrass performers and bands start playing and continue through Sunday.

Even though we have had our share of rain here, we also have had some nice Florida sunshine, and there we are hanging and chilling with new friends at Roger & Pat's rig.

Huey, Dewey and Louie at the fishing pond.

  1. Hahaha.... ahem! That's right, rub it in. We've got a few inches on the ground, and it's going to be cold again tonight. One day after sun and high 60's(Sunday) Those warm days just make us long for winter to get over and done... especially after today. These posts are keeping us modivated. We've planned out 2014, and I got a feeling there's some significant downsizing is in our future. Kent's parents are bringing their RV to the Shore for a long visit in May. Maybe we'll give them the house and try a motorhome on for size. Your bluegrass fesitival makes us look forward to our yearly trek to Merlefest in NC come April. Humm, a RV would come in handy there, too. I see a pattern here. Well, we're lifting a glass in your honor(merlot, of course). Enjoyed living vicarously while reading your blog, if just for a few moments. Hey, it's 70 degrees next to our stoked up pellet stove, so there! :-)

  2. This winter has to be the one that would not end! Even the Floridians are complaining; it's kind of funny actually :)
Good luck with the downsizing, don't be discouraged if it gets hard, it is all worth it! You two are getting ready to bump up your fun a notch! We are cheering you on from the road :)
