Old Mesilla, New Mexico

We took a walk around Mesilla on Sunday when the vendors set up their wares in the town square.
The jail that held William Bonney is still there.  Now it is a gift shop.
 The old Mesilla jail.
Steve getting the boot.
Gari in a peaceful courtyard in Mesilla.
Steve outside another courtyard in Mesilla.
Gari pauses by the Hopi mural.
Steve ponders what is going on in the mural behind...work?
A B&B Hacienda near the town square.
Crusin' the square.
The pavillion at the center of the square.  The flags commemorate the last major land purchase in the US in 1854.
The interesting pavillion ceiling.
Close up.
Historic signs on the square.
Gari has a snack on the bench while Steve snaps a few pictures around the square.
An old sidewalk near the square.
There's a cat in that window.
Booted in Old Mesilla, NM.
Interesting inlay on a building on the square.
Crusin' out of Bean's Cafe
A hacienda near town center.
Someone is restoring a very old adobe hacienda.
Steve dwells by the giant ristras.
Gari is curious what is behind that old door?
Wine & Cigars
This is the place!
Need a bath? Nice feet on that tub.
La Posta back door.
 Something for everyone.
La Posta front door.
Wine and Pistachios, we would like to try that.
Old Mesilla sidewalk on the square.
I remember this place from NASA TDY days 20 years ago.
A beautiful thought in a beautiful garden.
An interesting old window.
That is an old door, which appears to have hinges at the top!
Heading back.
Overpass art commemorates the aerospace work at WSMR.  It appears a dinosaur walked through the project before it was finished.
On to Texas later this week.
