San Antonio, Texas
We made a change to our path. We stopped on the west side of San Antonio for a few days and plan to tour the historic downtown. We have pulled 1,100 miles so far into our 2016 Loop.Tomorrow will be a big day for us. The weather looks great, 73 F and sunny. We expect to see the Alamo of course, the Mission Concepcíon and San José, the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, the Japanese Sunken Gardens, the Texas Rangers Museum, visit El Mercado market, and take a boat ride down the San Antonio River. Saturday we will get back on our track and continue on to Austin, TX.
We had some excitement coming into San Antonio today. We got a low pressure tire alarm on the middle trailer tire on the driver's side. We immediately pulled off the highway and into the first spot we thought we could fit; that was a small Family Dollar parking lot. We pretty quickly determined that we had a sensor failure and we got back on the road. Gari did an awesome job maneuvering our 60 foot rig on city streets in city traffic! It was an intense few moments getting into and out of that Family Dollar, but Gari did it without incident.
